UniFi Network

UniFi controller integration (UDM Pro / Cloud Key / self-hosted) via API key.

What the integration can do

• WAN status (online/offline, external IP, throughput)
• Connected clients (count, optional listing)
• Devices (APs, switches) with status
• Optional: switch ports + PoE status (showSwitchPorts)

Prerequisites

• UniFi Network Application 8.x+ (for API key auth)
• API key from your UniFi account (not from the controller!) — https://account.ui.com/profile/api
• Reachable via https://<ip> (self-signed cert accepted)

Setup in Mesh

Admin → Integrations → UniFi Network. Fields:

• controllerUrl — e.g. https://192.168.1.1
• apiKey — from your UI account
• siteId — default for the main site
• verifyTls — false for self-signed certificates (default)
• Toggles: showWan, showClients, showDevices, showSwitchPorts

Using the widget

Admin → Content → Widgets → "UniFi Network".

Troubleshooting

• Auth failed → API keys from the controller no longer work in 8.x. Create a new one from the UI account profile
• 403 Forbidden → API key is read-only / has wrong permissions
• Self-signed certificate → verifyTls: false. Permanent fix: renew the certificate with Let's Encrypt + DNS-01
• WAN status missing even though online → showWan: true enabled? UDM sometimes has multiple WAN interfaces (failover) — only the primary is shown
